Using custom-made and hand-selected tiles to tell the story of the client’s love for nature, emphasizing both what is seen outside as well as the nature they visit on vacations, was the focal point of the bathroom. We Integrated the story by dotting the backsplash and walls with custom tiles and continuing the look as you enter the shower. This is where each of the homeowner’s niches are personal and unique features of their lives and depicted by the custom tiles. 

We incorporated knotty alder cabinets and natural wood throughout to achieve more connection to nature. Maintaining an open feeling throughout yet creating the separation necessary for privacy in the toilet and shower by creating walls that only hide what needs to be hidden without adding a door.

Having storage within the toilet area without a cabinet, we added an extra deep niche for large toilet paper rolls and for a necessary coffee mug and phone, a thicker pony wall with quartz slab top next to the toilet. Our engineering clients had a high need for exactness and symmetry which amplified our need to be great communicators.
